BNL BNP PARIBAS | Apple Pay Launch Campaign
Videomaker, Senior Video Editor & Post-Production Lead
Synopsis
A fast-paced, rhythmic commercial produced for BNL BNP Paribas to announce the integration of Apple Pay. The spot focuses on "giving more time to the things you love" by simplifying daily transactions. The edit is designed to be snappy, modern, and perfectly aligned with the aesthetic standards of both a major European bank and Appleās sleek brand identity.
Creative & Technical Challenges
Directing Non-Professional Talent: One of the key challenges was working with a non-professional protagonist. My goal as a director and editor was to extract an authentic, natural performance, ensuring his movements felt spontaneous and relatable within a highly polished commercial framework.
Elevating the Tutorial Format: The project wasn't just a "how-to" video; it needed to feel like a cinematic experience. The challenge was to insert high-end filmic moments into a functional, brief tutorial.
Solution / Approach
To bridge the gap between a tutorial and a commercial, I focused on a hyper-sensory post-production approach:
Cinematic Sound Design & Slow-Mo: I used a specialized sound design combined with slow-motion footage to emphasize the metaphorical moment when the coins fall. By slowing down time and magnifying the sound of the falling currency, I created a "cinematic break" that visually represents the shift from old, heavy payment methods to the lightness of digital transactions.
